1. Acceptance of Terms & Malaysian E-Commerce Compliance
By accessing or using the N.C Scores platform (noobcompany.my), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, all applicable laws, and regulations governing digital commerce.
For users accessing the service in Malaysia, this electronic agreement complies with the Electronic Commerce Act 2006 (Act 658) and the Consumer Protection (Electronic Trade Transactions) Regulations 2012. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.
2. Description of Service & Digital License
N.C Scores provides digital sheet music arrangements, piano scores, guitar/drum tabs, MIDI files, interactive WebGL/audio player tools, and lyric transcripts. Resources provided are licensed strictly for personal, private, non-commercial, and educational study use.
Purchasing or downloading content grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable single-user digital license to view, practice, transpose, and print scores for personal performance.
3. Copyright, Fair Dealing (Act 332) & DMCA Disclaimer
All sheet music transcriptions, arrangements, and audio mockups hosted on N.C Scores are fan-made, community-contributed, or editorially transcribed interpretations created strictly for educational, pedagogical, scholarship, and instructional research purposes.
Malaysian Copyright Act 1987 (Act 332): Activities and user transcriptions on this platform operate under the statutory doctrine of "Fair Dealing" under Section 13(2)(a) of the Malaysian Copyright Act 1987 for non-profit research, private study, criticism, and review.
International Fair Use: Where applicable to international visitors, arrangements are treated as transformative educational scholarship under Section 107 of the United States Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. ยง 107) and international equivalents.
Ownership of Underlying Works: N.C Scores claims no ownership over the underlying musical compositions, original melodies, or copyright-protected lyrics. All original underlying musical compositions remain the exclusive property of their respective composers, recording artists, and authorized music publishers.
4. Notice & Takedown Procedure (DMCA & Malaysian IP Notice)
N.C Scores respects intellectual property rights and acts expeditiously upon receiving verified notices of alleged infringement. If you are a copyright owner or authorized representative seeking removal of a specific score arrangement, you may submit a takedown request containing:
- Clear identification of the copyrighted composition and the exact page URL(s) on
noobcompany.my. - Your full legal name, company or publisher represented, physical address, telephone number, and official corporate email.
- A statement affirming your good-faith belief that the contested material is not authorized by the copyright owner, agent, or applicable statutory law.
- A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright holder.
Submit all notices directly to: support@noobcompany.my. Access to validly contested arrangements will be disabled within 24 to 48 business hours.
5. Digital Purchases & VIP Membership Terms
Payments for single score downloads, custom arrangement requests, or Early Bird VIP Lifetime access are processed securely via Stripe. All prices are stated in USD and/or Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), exclusive of any applicable local digital services tax unless expressly indicated.
Upon successful payment confirmation via Stripe webhook, your account is immediately upgraded in our database and grants instant digital access to download unwatermarked PDFs, MIDI, and raw transposition assets.
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Because N.C Scores delivers irrevocable digital goods (downloadable PDF scores, MIDI files, MusicXML, and instant digital account upgrades), our refund schedule is structured in accordance with the Malaysian Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Act 599) and digital industry standards as follows:
(Days 1 to 7 from purchase)
20% retained for payment gateway processing fees and account activation overhead.
(Days 8 to 21 from purchase)
80% retained to cover digital sheet access, transpositions, and server bandwidth utilized.
(Day 22 onward)
All transactions are strictly final and non-refundable once 21 days have elapsed.
How to Request a Refund: Email support@noobcompany.my with your Stripe receipt, registered email, and user account UID. Approved refunds are credited back to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.
Abuse & Bulk Download Disqualification: Users who have downloaded more than twenty (20) complete score packages or utilized automated extraction tools prior to requesting a refund forfeit their right to any partial refund.
7. User Accounts & Conduct
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and passwords. You agree not to distribute, resell, lease, sublicense, or deploy automated bots to scrape score assets or overload platform infrastructure.
8. Limitations of Liability & Consumer Guarantees
To the maximum extent permitted under the Consumer Protection Act 1999, N.C Scores, its arrangers, and operating partners shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from platform downtime, score notation typographical inaccuracies, or third-party device compatibility issues.
9. Governing Law & Malaysian Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service and any contractual dispute arising from your use of N.C Scores shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Malaysia, subject to applicable rights under the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (TCCM).
