1. Operating Entity & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to N.C Scores (noobcompany.my), operated by Noob Company ("we", "us", or "our"), based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

By accessing or creating an account on N.C Scores, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, all applicable laws, and regulations governing digital commerce. For users accessing the service in Malaysia, this electronic contract adheres strictly to the Electronic Commerce Act 2006 (Act 658) and the Consumer Protection (Electronic Trade Transactions) Regulations 2012. If you do not agree with these terms, you must discontinue using this platform immediately.

2. Description of Service & Single-User Digital License

N.C Scores provides a curated repository of piano sheet music arrangements, digital score previews, guitar/drum tabs, MIDI files, and lyric transcripts. Resources provided on this platform are licensed strictly for personal, non-commercial, private study, instructional, and educational practice purposes.

Purchasing or downloading content grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable single-user personal license to view, practice, transpose, and print score sheets for private performance. You may NOT resell, redistribute, sub-license, broadcast for commercial gain, or mass-upload our score arrangements to other digital repositories.

3. Copyright, Fair Dealing (Act 332) & Educational Purpose

All sheet music transcriptions and arrangements hosted on N.C Scores are transformative, fan-made, community-contributed, or editorially curated interpretations created strictly for pedagogical, scholarship, research, and instructional study.

Malaysian Copyright Act 1987 (Act 332): Operations and user arrangements operate under the statutory doctrine of "Fair Dealing" under Section 13(2)(a) of the Malaysian Copyright Act 1987 for non-profit research, private study, criticism, and review.

International Fair Use: For international users, arrangements are treated as transformative educational scholarship under Section 107 of the United States Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. ยง 107) and international conventions.

Underlying Compositions: N.C Scores claims no ownership over the underlying musical compositions, original melodies, or copyright-protected lyrics. All underlying musical compositions remain the exclusive property of their respective composers, recording artists, and authorized music publishers.

4. Notice & Takedown Procedure (DMCA & Malaysian IP Notice)

We respect intellectual property rights and act expeditiously upon receiving verified notices of alleged infringement. If you are a copyright owner or authorized representative seeking removal of an arrangement, submit a takedown request containing:

  • Clear identification of the copyrighted work and the specific URL(s) on noobcompany.my.
  • Your full legal name, publishing company or organization represented, physical address, phone number, and corporate email.
  • A statement affirming your good-faith belief that the contested material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information provided is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Submit all notices directly to our designated DMCA / Copyright Agent: legal@noobcompany.my (with copy to support@noobcompany.my). Validly contested arrangements will be disabled within 24 to 48 business hours.

5. Open Source Software & Asset Licensing Attributions

N.C Scores is built utilizing open-source libraries, open typography, and web standards. We gratefully acknowledge the following licenses:

Inter & Playfair Display Fonts Licensed under the SIL Open Font License (OFL).
Google Material Symbols Licensed under the Apache License 2.0.
Tailwind CSS & Three.js Licensed under the MIT License.
PDF-Lib & Vector Engines Licensed under the MIT License.

6. Purchases, Upfront Pricing & No Hidden Fees

Payments for digital single sheet downloads or Early Bird VIP lifetime access are processed securely via Stripe. All prices are explicitly stated upfront (e.g. $9.90 one-time / ~RM 45 MYR) with zero hidden processing surcharges, zero recurring auto-renewals, and zero surprise fees.

7. User Accounts & Code of Conduct

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and passwords. You agree not to:

  • Deploy automated scrapers, crawling bots, or bulk download tools against our servers.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to our administrative databases or API endpoints.
  • Post defamatory, obscene, infringing, or harmful material in community song request forums.

8. Limitation of Liability & Warranty Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by the Malaysian Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Act 599) and applicable law, N.C Scores, Noob Company, its arrangers, and operating partners provide this service "as is" and "as available". We shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from service downtime or sheet notation typographical inaccuracies.

9. Governing Law & Malaysian Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any contractual dispute arising from your use of N.C Scores shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Malaysia, subject to your statutory consumer recourse through the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia (TCCM).
